After staying in Maui for 10 days, it was time to head to Kauai to visit a very good friend of mine who moved out to Kauai from San Francisco. I considered him an excellent photog buddy. This morning, he made me go out on my own–solo!

I woke early to run around the Hanalei Bay area for photographic opportunities. Going up and down the main road, I saw that there was a Taro Root plant fields. I’ve always loved the way the farmers make perfect lines when they plant vegetation. As a side note, I’ve always wanted to go and shoot the rice fields in southeast Asia one of these days because of the patterns leading to beauty.

As the sun was rising, the colors of the morning were very nice! After a few more mosquito bites later, I got a nice picture.
