We left Sunday, October 20 morning to head north from Hurricane, UT to Kanarraville. This place interested me because of some nice colors along with a cigar pipe ladder. The parking lot required a $10 fee. There was no real entrance fee other than the parking fee.
The hike was almost 2 miles in and 2 miles out. The water this time of year was absolutely freezing! I couldn’t keep my feet in the water for more than 10 seconds. It would numb my whole foot and would be very painful. Next time neoprene socks and canyoneering shoes would have helped a lot. I couldn’t get the composition I truly wanted in the end.
In order to get the picture at the top, I had to prop myself with my leg against the wall and my other foot on a rock that wasn’t getting too wet from the freezing water. I was almost doing the splits or a very high round house karate kick!
Here are my best shots of that morning.
