My buddy, Mike Chan, gave me 2 tickets to the Giants game tonight (05-07-2011).  My wife and I are excited to go.  Thanks Mike!

Thanks to my sister-in-law, Susan, she has agreed to watch over my little ones.  Thanks Susan!

Yesterday, I got the idea that maybe I could take some sports photography.  I knew I need a long focal length lens, but wasn’t willing to carry the weight.  Those 400, 600mm lenses are super big, super expensive, and super heavy!

My local renter, Linn Maung, has a 70-200mm VR II lens laying around and he agreed to let me borrow it.  I don’t think the lens is long enough, but maybe I can get closer and snap off a few shots.  I also was hoping to maybe get some wide angle view of the ball park in action, with a colorful sunset.  Thanks Linn for letting me borrow this awesome lens!

At the time of this writing, I am sitting in my office waiting for my wife to pick me up to go down to the ball game.  It is quite grey skies, windy, and cold.  I know for a fact that it will be even colder at the ball park.  Of course if you know me, I love my puffy jackets and I love my Patagonia down sweater even more.  If you don’t have one of these you gotta get one.

Because of the weather is quite bad, my vision of getting a nice sunset picture over the park has been shattered.  It almost looks like it is going to rain tonight.  Oh well.  I will refocus my energy to taking pictures of the ball players and the magnificent ball park.

Check back here for the pictures I will post from tonight’s game.

Go Giants!!!
